The Ice House Brewery, Café & Marina is where Colonial Beach’s rich waterfront history meets modern coastal hospitality. Housed in a warmly decorated century-old building that once served as the town’s ice plant for local watermen, the Ice House has been a vibrant gathering place since opening in January 2022.
Today, guests can enjoy handcrafted beer brewed on-site, delicious café favorites, and one of the area’s most distinctive waterfront experiences. The brewery and marina flow seamlessly onto an expansive over-the-water deck featuring a covered boat bar, large umbrellas, and panoramic views of Monroe Bay—creating the perfect setting to relax with an ice-cold craft beer, great food, and unforgettable sunsets.
Whether you’re arriving by land or by water, the Ice House offers something for everyone. Boaters can dock at our floating pier and enjoy convenient marina amenities before grabbing a seat at Christopher Scott, our restored deadrise workboat transformed into a boat bar. Throughout the week, guests can also enjoy live music, trivia, karaoke, special events, and a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates the unique charm and community spirit of Colonial Beach.
